Assistance League of Pomona Valley Is a philanthropic organization of community volunteers, which exists to care for the dental and clothing needs of school children in local communities. In so doing, we hope to improve the overall quality of life for families in the local communities.

Smile with a Child
We staff a full service Dental Center for underprivileged children in need of critical dental care. We have provided over 28,000 dental treatments to children from Pomona and Claremont Unified School Districts since 1986. These children are from low-income families who receive neither private, state nor federal assistance.

Operation School Bell®

Operation School Bell provides new clothing for children in local communities. Volunteering on delivery day gives one a great opportunity to Smile with a Child. Last year we clothed over 1,200 school children. Each child receives socks, underwear, shirts, sweatshirt or jacket, pants and a backpack filled with hygiene products provided by Les Fleurs. During the holidays, gifts are provided for each child. Throughout the year school supplies, shoe certificates and toiletries are provided to the students and additional items for family members.

Community Outreach

Families in need receive our help. We have reached out to Prototypes Women Center, House of Ruth, TriCity Mental Health and Pacific Clinics to help them provide clothing for people in distress. Our secondary goal is providing office appropriate clothing for people re-entering the work force.
